Charles Singleton, DPM

Singleton_picDr. Singleton received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas.  He attended Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, in Chicago, IL and is Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics, Podiatric Surgery, and Pain Management.  He has practiced podiatric medicine for over twenty-five years.  He has recently joined Barrett Foot & Ankle Centers and practices from our DFW, TX location.

 

Dr. Singleton's academic appointments have included auxiliary clinical instructor at WIlliam Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine.  Clinical instructor in family practice and community medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas and also adjunct assistant professor at California College of Podiatric Medicine.  Dr. Singleton is the founder of the Podiatric Surgical Residency program sponsored by John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX.  He was also the chairman of the podiatry section of the Department of Orthopedics.  He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and Fellow of American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and Fellow of the American College of Foot Orthopedists and a Diplomat with American Academy of Pain Management.

 

Dr. Singleton has been awarded Distinguished Young Practitioner of the Year in 1990 by the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and PodRa Award, Podiatrist's Recognition Award: American Podiatric Medical Association, Certificate No 35.

 

In his free time Dr. Singleton stays fit and rides his Harley.  He relaxes by playing the Native American Indian Flute.  He participates in martial arts, where he holds the rank of 3rd degree black belt in both Tae Kwon Do and American Karate.
